刘东,于2011年获德国马克斯-德尔布吕克分子医学中心/柏林自由大学,自然科学博士学位。从2012年起先后任神经再生重点实验室讲师、副教授、教授。中国解剖学会再生医学专业委员会委员,江苏省发育与细胞学会理事,江苏省神经科学会理事,江苏省发育生物学会听觉科学专业委员会副主任委员,江苏省神经科学会青年委员会委员。主讲本科生《分子生物学》和研究生《高级分子生物学》等课程。先后获得国家自然科学基金青年项目、面上项目等8项基金资助。主要研究方向为:

1、生理和病理条件下血管新生的遗传调控

2、神经发育以及感音性聋单基因遗传病的基因编辑治疗

3、基于血管内皮细胞、毛细胞和运动神经元行为的的化合物筛选
